In the RetroCode COBOL Powercamp, we teach all core technologies needed for professional work in legacy environments:
- COBOL Introduction– Basics, syntax & modern applications
- IMS Basics– Functionality of the IBM Information Management System
- Z/OS Training– Overview of the IBM Mainframe operating system
- DB2 Basics– Database model, queries & typical applications
- DL/1 Transaction Manager– understanding of transaction management
- IMS access– deepening access to databases & transactions
- SQL for DB2/Oracle– advanced SQL skills for relational systems
Coaching phase
(4 months)
Deepening & practical application
Following this, there will be an intensive supervised practical phase:
- Expansion of COBOL knowledgebased on real legacy scenarios
- Weekly feedback loopsfor continuous development
